 Through a population based observational carried at Boston University, S.Jicks and others have examined that out of the 172598 subjects taking at least one form of antidepressants, 143 of these subjects committed suicide. Predominantly, high rates of suicide were found amongst individuals who:

·         Took antidepressants within the last 30 days.

·         Individuals who have taken more than one form of antidepressant.
